    WHAT IS A VISITOR VISA?

A Visitor Visa Canada is a non-immigrant visa issued to people entering Canada temporarily for tourism or medical treatment for a period of 6 months or under. It is an official document that is pasted on your passport at the time of travelling. By getting a visitor visa for Canada, you are eligible for the following activities within the country.

    Visit your family or friends
    Explore Canada’s attractions and culture<
    Conduct business meetings or conferences
    Receive medical treatment
Study for up to 6 months

There are two types of visitor visa:
      1. Single entry.
      2. Multiple entry.

Foreign nationals are only permitted to enter Canada once with a single-entry visa. As long as the visa is valid, holders of multiple entry visas are free to enter and exit Canada as often as they like. It is not necessary for applicants to select the type of visa to apply for; all applications are automatically considered for multiple entry visas, and single-entry visas are only granted in special cases.

As long as the visa is still valid, holders of multiple entry visitor visas are allowed to visit Canada up to six months at a time. The visa officer granting the visa will decide the precise validity period, which may be up to ten years. In case you possess any other type of status document, such a work or study permit, and you are not excluded from obtaining a visa, you will be granted a visiting visa that will enable you to enter Canada to obtain your permission. This is typically a multiple entry visa. As long as your permit and visa are still current, you won't need to apply for a new visitor visa in order to return to Canada if you decide to leave for a short while you're studying or working temporarily.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISITOR VISA?

Applicants can apply in person at a Visa Application Centre (VAC), online, or on paper if they require a visitor visa in order to enter Canada. Each family member, including dependent children, must complete their individual application if you are travelling as a group. You may, nevertheless, submit each application individually. Depending on their citizenship, applicants may be asked to submit biometric data with their application. Should biometrics be necessary, the candidate must present their picture and fingerprints at a biometric collecting service location.
