Canada aims to reunite family members with their loved ones and fulfil its humanitarian commitment. You must however fulfill financial support and basic needs for taking care of them and sign an undertaking with the government of Canada.
You can sponsor your spouse, their/your dependent children (under 22), Parents and grandparents if you meet certain eligibility requirements.
For spousal sponsorship, there is normally no minimum requirement, but this can be case-to-case. Your spouse can also be eligible for an open work permit before receiving Permanent residency status.
